I bought a box of really yummy lip gloss a few days ago. I was setting aside two of them for a couple of friends. My niece accidentally knocked off the stuff on my night table the other day, sending CDs, books, papers, and the box of lip gloss tumbling to the floor. After retrieving the fallen objects, I noticed that the box was one lip gloss tube short. I searched everywhere.
It didn't fall into my wastebasket.
I didn't absentmindedly stash it in my bag.
Nor was it under the bed.
I still haven't found it, but I'm hoping it will turn up soon.
