I'm not a U.S. citizen, but I'm strangely fascinated by the U.S. presidential race and I'm personally rooting for Barack Obama. I suppose it would make sense to keep a close eye on the elections; how the U.S. will change and develop depends on who leads it, and whatever the U.S. does, sad to say, affects the rest of the world.

High school girls making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together? Who knows if they really know what they're getting into? I certainly hope they don't think pregnancy culminates in slow-mo childbirth punctuated by charming mellow music. On a more cheerful note, however, at least they didn't make a pact to kill themselves, like those folks in Suicide Circle. Man, that movie is just messed up. That doesn't make the pact any less ridiculous, though. Speaking of teen pregnancy, I saw a ridiculous Filipino newspaper here months ago with an article entitled, "Teen pregnancy: the new feminism"?
