In the latest episode: a Fast Forward, a Yield, an Elimination! Adrian and Colin and Marc and Rovilson both went for the FF, which required them to count the bars on the Elizabeth Bridge's railings. The lesson: Never go after a fast forward that the team before you has also nabbed. No matter how icky or scary it is, that team will see it through. Adrian and Colin got to the pit stop first, which tickled the hell out of them. Good job, guys.
This leg's tasks had the teams hunting in a labyrinth for a treasure chest containing a clue, pedaling on a pedicab to hunt for a certain symbol on Margaret Island, and then a detour which had them either trying to pronounce Hungarian names correctly or completing one side of a Rubik's cube at a time. The latter task prompted TJ to text me and say that if we ever faced such a challenge, he will do the Rubik's cube. I'd've gone for the names, because I know how to pronounce 'em. I'm smug like that.
Paula and Natasha were on the verge of elimination last week, so they apparently had a word with Marc and Rovilson, asking them to Yield the Dancing Mums, and the guys actually complied. It didn't do any good, because the mums still landed fourth and Paula and Natasha were booted out. Since when did the mums become an object of dislike for the other teams? I don't get it.
Oh, and a word to Allan Woohoo!: Never say "episodes." "Legs" is the word you want. "There're only two legs left." Never "episodes." Got it? Aww, but you're spiffy anyway.
The show is gradually winding down to a close, and just when I thought all hope of TV fun was lost, enter LOST's fourth season! I have been anticipating it since last year, after the most-excellent season ender. Darn this show. Oh, and I found out from my sister that Sawyer-Kate shippers are known as "Skaters." So call me a hardcore Skater then. Woohoo! Down with Jack!
