Where have I been and why did I just find out that Edison Chen has a sex scandal? From what I gathered, he had his computer--a pink one, reportedly--fixed, and the dude who took a look at it came across his photos with Cecilia Cheung, Gillian Chung (good gods, The Twins Effect was just horrible, and I only kept watching it for Edison), and Bobo Chan (whoever she is, I cannot say her name without thinking of a big circus bear), then decided to keep them for himself, eventually showing them to his buddies. Who wouldn't? Such things are too good to keep to oneself. The dude caved in to pressure from a friend, though, and posted the lot online. I think he's been arrested already, and people are up in arms about invasion of privacy and preserving dignity.

Well, some people at least. For the most part, people have been abuzz about how the girls really need to...and how Edison Chen's...never mind. You'll find out soon enough what exactly about those pictures have people talking.

Edison has already come out with a video where he says his piece on the matter, and his hair looked bad in it. It's also kind of odd how he uses the word "victims." To quote Maan, "Wow, Hurricane Katrina ba ito? (Is this Hurricane Katrina?)" Basically, he encourages everyone to delete any images they have and to not forward them. Hah, not bloody likely.

It's very interesting how remarkably casual people have been about the incident, like sex pictures and videos are pretty normal these days. What does that say about us?

One lesson people should learn from this: Apart from keeping such photographs safe (put the damn things in a flash drive and attach it to your person!), never, ever trust computer repair folk.
