Gypped! Or not.

I was heading to the ATM earlier this evening when a woman and a little girl approached me, telling me they weren't bad people and that they just needed money to go home. I retreated to the safety of my vehicle, locked the doors, then opened the window and motioned for them to approach me. The little girl came over, and told me a tale how they had to go home to Obando, that they were supposed to get money from a relative whom they didn't catch at his or her workplace, and they needed money.

Everyone knows that this is a totally scammy approach, but I gave in nonetheless, and sent them off with P40 ($1).

I've experienced this many times. One time I gave the man P10 and told him it's the only change I have. He demanded P30 more. Bwiset. Binigyan na nga eh.

If I gave them the money or not, I would feel like a fool either way.
