Ugh

Part of tomorrow's to-do list: a blood sugar test! Such things scare the hell out of me, mainly because I dislike needles and sharp objects of any sort (Except pencils. I love newly sharpened pencils.) and most especially because I hate learning about anything to do with my health. Yeah, yeah, prevention rocks and all, but I'd really rather not know.

For example: an ankle I banged against the corner of my bed more than three times in one week. I could've had it x-rayed or something, but I chose to live with it for...five months and it got better. Suspicions of PCOS and hypothyroidism? Still haven't done a thing about them, although of course, it could just be the hypochondriac in me. (At the age of eight, I had already thought I had breast cancer.)

The last time I had my blood sugar checked was around seven years ago, when a friend was rushed to the hospital after her glucose level ran much too low. While she was recovering, the doctor was chatting with me and my friend Mit and offered to test our blood sugar too. I think it was around 87 or 97 that day, whatever, it had two figures. But now? I am cracking with extreme nervousness.
