Scam alert

A few days ago, someone called TJ with a job offer. The person claimed to be a representative of a startup U.S. company called Pharmanex and started telling TJ that he came highly recommended by the university, that he should come in for an interview, that the job pays tons of money, etc. He was told to bring nothing but a valid I.D. to the 15th floor of Octagon Center along San Miguel Avenue.

It sounded quite tempting, but since I'm a paranoid little creature, I googled the company and found that they were part of Nu Skin. I didn't find out a whole lot, so for some reason, I decided to search for the address itself. Lo and behold! I found this, this, this, and this. For some reason, the callers all say the same thing, except it appears that they're using different names for the company.

The whole thing sounded really dodgy right from the off, especially when you consider how the callers don't provide any clear information about the company. I'm sure they're a nice company and all, but they can't blame people for shying away from them; their recruitment tactics are shady as hell.
