Sleepy rambling

Imagine me being sleepy at only 1 AM. Praise gods.

Anyway, it's been an unexciting couple of weeks, now that I think about it. I made it all the way through July having only two Quarter Pounders when normally I can put away one or two a week. I still love steaks and all, but these days, the thought of beef packed tightly together makes me queasy. It's probably all the news of double dead meat being sold in markets, or my lousy attempt at making meatballs a few weeks ago, which had me handling ground beef and trying to roll up bits of it.

Ughhh.

I also tried the Latin dance class at the gym and for some reason, when I thought about dinner once I got home that night, my first thought was, "Mmm, vegetables and fruits." O_o

Also headed to Manila city hall a couple of days ago with my parents for a hearing. The tenants are fighting against the apartment building's condemnation and are claiming it's still livable. Plus there's also talk that they don't think my mother owns the property anyway and doesn't have the papers anyway. Where that idea came from, I have no idea, but I have this strong urge to roll up the property deed and shake it under their noses. It seems like they also think the property belongs to them, too.

Will it sound rude and haughty of me if I ask, "Who has the title and pays the taxes on that property anyway?" Gods almighty, the whole thing gives me a headache.

And today (yesterday?) I stopped by my old office. I'm kind of glad I left when I did. I was disgusted by the place, but not disgusted enough to never ever want to set foot in it again. I can still swoop around visiting my friends and former coworkers, strutting like I own the damn place while the new people in my old division probably think, "Who the hell is this creepy person anyway?", and generally have a nice time dropping by and feel happy I don't actually have to work there anymore.
