I know I've been spending an obscene amount of time in front of the computer these past, what, nine, ten years, so I guess it's inevitable that some part of me will become rickety, whether it's my eyesight or my overall fitness level. But I can't understand why it's my left wrist that's being targeted. I'm right-handed, so I expected pain to attack my right hand/wrist/arm. I suppose I should be thankful that it's still very much functional (touch wood), but my left wrist is killing me, and even bending it is agony.
So far, I've enlisted the aid of Alaxan gel and a bandage, and that's because I'm too chicken to get myself x-rayed. I'm too chicken to consult any kind of doctor, actually, even when I should have had an ultrasound because I suspect ovarian cancer is in my stars and when I needed an x-ray to check on the ankle I smashed three times in one week (it gave me grief in cold weather, but it's been really friendly since February). I'm a big fan of sitting around and waiting for the pain to go away, because to me, that means it wasn't such a big deal in the first place. It won't serve me well, however, if it actually turns out to be something serious.
