A friend asked me to write something about a week ago, and I have to admit I grappled with the task because it's supposed to target teenagers. Man, I don't even think I was a teenager when I was a teenager, so that was an interesting challenge. Add that challenge to a new bunch of work crashing down on me and you just know I was on the verge of...lying in bed, staring into space. Almost a whole week rolled by with no article in sight. Last night before going to sleep, I was jotting down stuff in a notebook till I realized that what I was writing sounded like all sorts of shitty, so I yelled, "I CAN'T DO THIS!!" and hurled the notebook away.
After that, I was able to write and finish the whole thing.
Maybe I should try that every time I have a looming deadline.
