I got my DVD of Rent yesterday. I have no idea when it'll be shown in theaters here, but I don't care anymore. Neither do I care about what critics said about the movie, because I cried buckets and buckets of tears and sang along with every song, plus it's just as exhilarating as the actual show. I won't say it's now my favorite movie ever (that distinction belongs to Lord of the Rings, over which I cry buckets and buckets of tears as well), but it's still pretty damn good. Any movie that can move me to tears is all right in my book.
Cool. I just found out that my uncle thinks my sisters and I lead wasted lives because none of us took up medicine in college. Personally, I couldn't be bothered. After all, he is the same man who asked me "Who discovered the Philippines?" when he found out I graduated with a degree in History.
