I used to love watching beauty pageants. In fact, I may already have mentioned that fact twice in this blog so far. But my interest has considerably waned, so now all I'd like to do is sit back and poke fun at beauty pageants and contestants online. I may offend some people who might know these candidates and if so, tough beans.
From the Binibining Pilipinas website, interviews with the winners:
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DESTINATION IN THE COUNTRY?
Tagaytay. It is the most convenient destination that can make one feel relaxed and rejuvenated. The cool mountain breeze and the lush surroundings is what will keep one form coming back.
IF YOU'D BE GIVEN A CHANCE TO WIN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE: BB. PILIPINAS-WORLD? BB. PILIPINAS-UNIVERSE? BB. PILIPINAS- INTERNATIONAL?
Bb. Pilipinas-Universe because I would like to become an ambassador of goodwill in the United Nations. (Lofty.)
RICH? BEAUTIFUL? SMART?
Beautiful of course! Being smart can be acquired through difference sources such as books, media, and through experience. Being rich, on the other hand, can be acquired through hard work and perseverance.
Oh well. At least they're better answers than ones from previous candidates who've said things like "I am proud of my common sense because it's common" and talked about having "a beautiful legs".
