Nearly a whole week later, it kind of disturbs me that I haven't really been moved to write about the Wowowee incident. Maybe it's because it didn't really come as a surprise, and it was only a matter of time before something like that happened. Maybe it's because I'm ticked off at the people who got inside ULTRA and wanted the show to go on anyway despite the dead bodies strewn outside, at those in charge who want to milk this for all its worth, and at those declaring the show is really there to help people.
On another note, my sister just asked me if I thought Sex and the City was the epitome of female empowerment. Now I loved the show. It was great fun to watch. But I think all it's done for some women is to make them feel like they're Carrie Bradshaw and that they also deserve an insane amount of footwear, and also made some people think that having loads of sex and talking ever so openly about their sex lives automatically makes them the enlightened, empowered women of today. Huh.
