In a daring move by police officers in Quiapo, Manila, black candles were confiscated from candle vendors near the church. One police officer said, "We saw some police officers confiscating the black candles. We didn't know why, but we went along to help them." The police officers, however, gave no reason for their actions.
Yes! That is right, guardians of the law! Black candles are a threat to civilization, and will spread evil deeds and cause incorrect ways of thinking! Yes! Go forth and arrest as many black candles as you can! For black candles are the very source of crime and evil in the mucky city known as Manila!
