Dear Danielle of Monster Radio RX 93.1 for Radioworks: What did you (or the writer) mean when you said, "You know you're in Baguio when you see the infamous lion's head"? What did the head to to merit the term infamy? Did it hatch nefarious world domination plots? Was it the subject of a major Rotary Club scandal the world knows very little about? Or perhaps you meant "famous"?
Certain radio disc jockeys get on my nerves, particularly when they speak totally twangy English but act as if they can barely wrap their tongues around Filipino. There was even one DJ who was pronouncing a surname--it was something simple like "Cayabyab", I think--and was struggling through it. "Is that Ca--Cayab--Ca-yab-yaaaab? I don't know how to pronounce it." Sure you don't.
